Welcome to Curdridge Amateur Drama Group
We are a very friendly group who enjoy our pastime and reach for the highest possible standard
We are based in Curdridge, Hampshire and our members come from the surrounding towns and villages, including Curdridge, Botley, Bishops Waltham, Hedge End, Eastleigh.
Productions
We normally put on two productions a year.
Our most recent production was the Ray Cooney farce 'It Run's in the Family' (see picture). Further pictures here.
Our next production, Neil Simon's 'The Odd Couple' (female version), will be at the end of November.
Our Spring 2011 production will be Alan Ayckbourn's 'Confusions'.
See What's On for more details of these productions.
Social Evening
There will be a social evening and reading of Canterbury Tales on Saturday 25th September.
See What's On for more details.
Why not join us?
If you would like to know more about how a play is produced why not come along to our monthly workshops, held on the first Monday of the month at 7.45pm. The workshops are friendly and informal, they deal with the various aspects of production, such as acting techniques, directing methods, stage lighting and sound effects, sourcing props and material for set building.
For the younger generation we have a Youth Drama Group so, if you enjoy performing arts, lively action workshops and bringing plays to life, why not come along.
For those involved with productions our rehearsal nights are Monday and Thursdays starting at 7.45pm.
For more information see contact details and how to find us.
Disposal of the Wheelchair
With the completion of the last production we were left with the problem of what to do with the wheelchair used in the production.
We decided to donate the chair to the British Red Cross. In the photo you can see Ray Knight (Red Cross Service Co-ordinator, Hampshire Equipment Loan) gratefully accepting the chair from Sue Burkett.
Links with other drama group web sites
We are hoping to have reciprocal links with other drama groups in Hampshire.
The first such link was proposed by Warsash Theatre Club so here is a link to their web site, which is full of information about them and their productions.
